As a mom and a chiropractor I am frequently asked about the benefits of chiropractic during the prenatal and postpartum period. Chiropractic care is a drug free way to relieve and even prevent the common discomforts associated with pregnancy. Specific adjustments help eliminate stresses in your spine and pelvis caused by weight gain, altered weight distribution and ligament laxity. The adjustments keep the spinal and pelvic regions healthy, biomechanically sound, and minimize soft tissue irritation and discomfort. It helps to keep mom feeling good and assists her in coping with the physical stresses of an ever changing body. | Nathalie Belanger, Physiotherapist
