Fitness Classes
Jules teaches a variety of fitness classes in Ottawa. She looks forward to seeing you at one soon!
Postpartum Reh(AB) This specialty class has been specifically designed to rebuild, retrain, strengthen and protect areas of the body affected by pregnancy and birth. It is offered at the Glebe Community Centre on Fridays from January 9- March 13, 2009. For registration information, visit here and note that it is offered in partnership with Boomerang Kids
Cardio Kickboxing This workout combines choreographed martial arts-inspired aerobic activity designed to increase cardiovascular fitness as well as improve strength, muscle tone and endurance. This class is offered at the Glebe Community Centre.
Functional Training Boot Camp Focus on posture, core strength, balance and total body definition. Learn how to connect your mind, upper, middle & lower body each exercise. This course incorporates circuit training using weights; intervals and drills to sculpt and chisel the body. This class is offered at the Glebe Community Centre.
Mom and Baby Fitness This workout combines aerobics, cardiovascular fitness and body toning. The class is designed to incorporate baby into the toning segment of your workout. Have fun with your baby while improving your strength and endurance. This class is offered at the Glebe Community Centre.
Have a Ball with Mom This program is on the cutting edge of fitness for new moms, or moms-to-be. It is a core strength and abdominal toning workout using exercise balls. The fun part is that your baby is a full participant in the class! Keep them close, or let them watch you as they explore the environment around them… it is a fantastic workout, and a bonding experience all wrapped up in one! Thsi is also a terrific opportunity for moms with more than one little one, and there is also a drop in playtime for older children. This course is offered at Starr Gymnastics.
Boot Camp Indoor and outdoor fit class are great for new moms and anyone else looking for a great workout. Work on flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and core strength while enjoying the company of other moms in the great outdoors. Check the Boot Camp page for current locations and times
MOM AND BABY FITNESS CLASSES OFFERED BY OTHERS Jules' dedication to Mom and Baby fitness extends to fitness programs offered by other individuals as well. Jules recommends the following program:
 Mommefit is a new kind of fitness program designed for the modern mom! Whether you are expecting or have just delivered, we have designed our pre and post-natal fitness classes with you in mind! We know how important it is to find time to do something for yourself and how hard it can be to leave your baby behind. During MomMeFit classes, you can bond with your baby, get fit, meet other moms and have fun all at the same time! MomMeFit offers mom and baby fitness and yoga classes at various community centers, schools and parks in the Ottawa area. We offer a large variety of classes, including Mom, Dad and Baby Bootcamp, Indoor and Outdoor Baby Bootcamp, Mom and Baby Yoga and Prenatal Yoga.
